Accommodation

Reservation of accommodation is a part of accommodation and payment form . Please, kindly do not contact the hotel directly as all reservations are handled by TA-SERVICE. We apologize but phone booking cannot be processed (the only exception is the cheap accommodation for students mentioned at the end of this section).

Hotels

Rooms at special rates have been reserved in three hotels of different price levels

• Single room CZK 2 900 (EUR 104) / night
• Double room CZK 3 200 (EUR 115) / night

Hotel Continental***, Kounicova 6, CZ-602 00 Brno

• Single room CZK 1 400 (EUR 50) / night
• Double room CZK 1 800 (EUR 65) / night

Hotel Palacký, Kolejní 2, CZ-612 00 Brno

• Single room CZK  840 (EUR 30) / night
• Double room CZK 1 080 (EUR 39) / night

1 EUR = 28 CZK (approximately)

Prices in CZK are constant. Prices in EUR can be changed according to the current exchange rate. The participant should pay the price valid on the day of accommodation booking.

All rates are quoted per room/per night, including breakfast and VAT. All extras must be settled directly with the hotel upon departure.

Deadline

Participants are recommended to book their accommodation by June 12, 2009.

After this deadline requests will be accepted, however, hotels rooms are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed; of course, we will make every effort to meet your requirements.

Confirmation of Hotel Reservation

• You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your reservation (hotel voucher) after forwarding the payment to TA-SERVICE.
• Our system confirmation of your request receipt (sent immediately after your on-line booking) is not considered a confirmation of your booking!
• Please, kindly do not contact the hotel directly as all reservations are handled by TA-SERVICE.

Check-in/Check-out

Check-in is 2 pm. Early check-in can be requested, but cannot be guaranteed; the room is subject to availability on the arrival date; if the early check-in needs to be guaranteed or in case of a very early arrival it is recommended to reserve the previous night as well. Check-out is generally at noon. Late check-out is also subject to the room availability and some hotels may charge a day rate; or even the full rate in case of check-out after 6 pm.

Changes/Cancellation of Reservation

• Any change of reservation or cancellation must be notified in writing to TA-SERVICE and not directly to the hotel.
• Changes/cancellations made by phone cannot be accepted.
• Cancellation will be charged according to these CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
• For hotel reservations cancelled before June 12, 2009 the full payment will be refunded less 600 CZK (EUR 25) handling fee.
• If the cancellation is made between June 12, 2009 and July 6, 2009 payment of 1 night will not be refunded.
• In the case of cancellation after July 6, 2009 total number of nights as reserved will be charged.
• In the case of later arrival or earlier departure other than the same reservation rules shall apply.
• Please, do not contact the hotel directly as the reservations are handled by TA-SERVICE.

Cheap Accommodation for Students

Another, relatively cheap accommodation option (especially suitable for students, but not only) is a student hostel situated on the university campus where the conference will take place. The hostel offers three-bed rooms with the following prices for one night (without breakfast): 500 CZK for one person, 640 CZK for two persons and 780 CZK for three persons. A breakfast may be bought for 90 CZK. Reservations can be made via e-mail at recepce@hotel-palacky.cz or by phone at +420 54114 2963 (or +420 54114 2960).

Important Note

The payment for this kind of accommodation will be made at the hostel upon arrival (so that the participants who choose this option should not select any of the three kinds of accommodation offered in the "accommodation and payment form" - they will pay in advance just the registration fee).
